As we look back on 2021, we were excited to see the impression Whisk had on the cooking community. This past summer, we were thrilled to see Whisk featured as Apple’s App of the Day across hundreds of countries around the globe. In July, Whisk was featured as App of the Day in 130 countries and in August, 162 countries.
Over the past year, our team has worked hard to build upon all of the features that make Whisk great and foster a new cooking community through features like:
Made Its
Allowing users the ability to mark recipes they’ve cooked as “made” and leave a review with photos and notes. Watching how different people cook the same recipe can be super-fun and very useful, too! Check out how many Made Its this Balsamic Chicken and Veggies recipe has, for example.
Home Feed
A dedicated space within the Whisk app where users can see what other home cooks are making, discover new recipes, and join in on community conversations.
User Profiles
With profiles, users are able to add a profile photo and bio, view followers, and see all of their Made It activity.
Follows, Likes, and Replies
We introduced new ways to engage with other home cooks across Whisk, allowing users to follow other Whisk home cooks and like and reply to their reviews and conversations.
With these new features, we’ve seen Whisk grow into a thriving cooking community that inspires and helps other home cooks discover and cook food they love—and we’re proud to be a part of it.
We’re excited to see what’s to come in the new year and how the Whisk community continues to evolve. One thing is for sure—we’ll continue to provide home cooks with the best possible cooking experience with the Whisk app.
